"you can always count on a murderer for a fancy prose style."

let's take a trip...

...to one of the three remaining Wigwam Motels! Seven were built in the 1930s through the 1950s. Most fell into disrepair during the sixties and seventies.

The Wigwam Motel #7 in San Bernadino/Rialto, CA went through a particulary seedy time during the 70s, when rooms were rented by the hour. The motel's sign invited guests to "do it in a teepee."

I have decided that I prefer the Wigwam Motel in Holbrook, Arizona. It is close to the Petrified Forest National Monument. A room with two double beds is only $54! I feel an educational vacation coming on...

The Wigwam Village in Cave City, Kentucky appears to have a fine gift shop.
